As we reflect on recent weeks, we're overwhelmed with gratitude for all that God is doing through Encouraging Word International. There's so much happening, and we wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates with you.
Vietnam Mission Work
Missionary Kim Anh recently spent two weeks in Vietnam, where she actively participated in mission work and witnessed her nephew's wedding.
During her time there, she led two people to Christ, encouraged a woman who tragically lost her leg in a tractor accident last year, and visited one of our mission partner's churches. Thanks to generous donations, we were able to fund an addition to that church, which will allow the congregation to continue growing and ministering to their community.
In addition, we recently provided financial support for fifty minority Bible school students to continue their education. This $2,500 investment is helping equip future leaders to share the Gospel in their communities. We are also in the process of funding permits for a new church in an agricultural area in Vietnam. This $2,000 contribution will help establish a place of worship for those seeking to know Christ.
Haiti Mission Work
In Haiti, we've been hard at work supporting Jerusalem Children’s Home (JCH).
We recently repaired their solar electrical system, ensuring they have the power they need to care for the children. We've also provided $600 to purchase clothes, shoes, sheets, and pillowcases for the orphanage, offering comfort and care to those in need.
Just recently, we received word that we were approved to help a pastor's wife in Haiti who has a large cancerous tumor on her face. Thanks to the kindness of our supporters, we are able to cover the $3,500 cost for her life-changing surgery. Please keep her in your prayers.
Stateside Ministry
Meanwhile, here in the U.S., Reverend Lance recently preached in a small town in north-central Vermont, where two people made spiritual decisions for Christ. In addition, Lance has been caring for his elderly parents while his stepfather recovers from hernia surgery. While balancing caregiving and ministry, he's also been working hard on fundraising efforts to sustain these ongoing mission projects.
Thank You for Your Support
Your prayers and generosity are making these incredible moments possible! From church additions to life-changing surgeries, none of this would happen without you. Please continue to pray for our mission partners, the communities we serve, and the ongoing work to spread the Gospel.
