As we move through the fall season, we continue to see God's provision and care at work in each of our mission fields. Here are a few highlights from our efforts across Haiti, the Philippines, and Vietnam in September and October.
School Uniforms for Orphans in Haiti
In addition to the $1,800.00 we send quarterly to support the cook, food, and security guard at the orphanage in Haiti, we were able to provide an extra $250.00 for school uniforms for the children. These uniforms mean so much to the kids, helping them feel prepared, confident, and ready to take on their school days with dignity.
Continued Progress at the Lighthouse Center in the Philippines
The work on the Lighthouse Center, our women’s and children’s facility in Panabo City, Mindanao, is nearing completion. We recently wired $2,400.00 to help finalize the kitchen, floors, and painting, bringing the center closer to full operation. We’re looking forward to the re-dedication ceremony planned for the end of November, which will be a beautiful celebration of community and care for those who will benefit from the center.
"The Healing Project" in Negros Island
The Healing Project in San Jose, Negros Island, is still progressing, despite delays caused by ongoing bad weather. With your support, we’ve invested $24,500.00 into this church building project, constructing a place for the local community to gather, worship, and grow together in faith. If all goes well, we plan to dedicate this building to the Lord in early December.
Supporting Worship in Vietnam
In Vietnam, we recently helped Pastor Muc Su Phuc repair his keyboard, at a cost of $100.00. This repair may seem small, but it allows his congregation to worship fully and joyfully, with music lifting their praises to God.
Education Support for a Minority Student in Vietnam
A young man named Ati, from Co Kim Anh’s hometown of Krong Bong, received a scholarship to attend college, provided by the Vietnamese government. As a student from a minority tribal group, this is a significant opportunity for him and his family. However, he still needed extra help to cover school-related expenses, and we were able to send $200.00 to support his studies.
These updates are only possible because of the love and generosity of our community. Thank you for your continued support and prayers. Each gift and act of kindness is making a real difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities in need.
