Making an Impact in Krong Bong: Vietnam Mission Trip (Winter 2024, Week 3)

We're excited to share the highlights of our meaningful experiences in Krong Bong, Kim Anh's hometown. We've been humbled by the opportunities to serve and share the love of Christ with those in need.

This week kicked off with a heartwarming visit to Kim Anh's childhood friend, Trang, who has been an invaluable connection for us in Vietnam through ministry opportunities. Despite facing financial hardships due to the recession, Trang and her daughters continue to support our mission with unwavering dedication. In response, our team made a donation to assist with their daily expenses and bills, reflecting the spirit of compassion that drives our mission.

On Tuesday, February 13th, over breakfast with a pastor, his wife, Trang, and her friend, we learned about their inspiring ministry efforts among minority groups in Vietnam. Learning about their network of churches among minority people groups in Vietnam was truly inspiring. Together, they've been expanding God's kingdom among persecuted communities, embodying the spirit of unity and purpose that fuels our mission. Later that day, we gathered with family for Tet celebrations, and had the opportunity to share the Gospel with about 20 relatives and guests.

Wednesday, February 14th, marked a highlight of our time in Krong Bong as we embarked on a door-to-door outreach initiative. With permission from the Political Bureau, we distributed toiletries, medicine, and food funds to impoverished families. Amidst these acts of charity, we shared the Gospel and offered prayers of comfort and hope. The impact was profound as three individuals embraced Christ, likely for the first time. Our encounters with these families, some facing dire circumstances and illness, left a lasting impression of resilience and love.

Among those we encountered was a young lady bravely caring for her dying parents while battling cancer herself. Her selflessness and devotion serve as a poignant testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the boundless capacity for love.

As we reflect on these experiences, we're reminded of the power of compassion and the transformative potential of sharing God's love. Thank you for your continued support and prayers as we strive to be vessels of hope and light in communities around the world.

Blessings,
