New Doors, New Roads: Spring 2026

This spring has been a season of unexpected turns, answered prayers, and God's fingerprints all over the details.
Back in March, Kim Anh and I spent time praying through a significant change of plans. We had been working toward building a home for ourselves in Vietnam, but God had other ideas. What was meant to be our home became something better, a resting place for pastors who travel long distances between villages and need somewhere to lay their heads. In the end, it was all on His timing, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
We made our way back to Vermont in early April and have spent this spring visiting churches across Vermont, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania, sharing stories from the field, reconnecting with supporters, and giving thanks for every person who has walked this journey with us. This summer, we're heading west to visit more supporters, friends, and family before returning to Vermont. Please keep us in your prayers for safe travels as we make our way across the country.

A Few Mission Highlights We Want to Share
While we've been posting regular updates and photos on Facebook, we wanted to take a moment to highlight a few things that have been close to our hearts.
A New Church Plant in the Philippines
In mid-2025, we were blessed to donate $5,000 toward a church building project through Faith Island Mission, Inc. This future fellowship will serve Pastor Melchor and the surrounding community in the mountainous region of central Negros Island, and in a meaningful full-circle moment, it will be named Daybreak Community Church. This marks Daybreak's second church plant in the Philippines, and we are deeply grateful to Pastora Shirley Sales and Pastor Danden Jason Sales for allowing us to come alongside their ministry. You can find recent photos of the building's progress on our Facebook page.
A Church Among the Khmer People of Vietnam
As Kim Anh and I were approaching the end of our season in Southeast Asia, several donors came to us with a heart to help fund a church project in extreme southern Vietnam. I am proud to share that we were able to contribute a fifth of the total cost needed to build this church among the Khmer people of the Mekong Delta. Thank you to Daybreak Community Church and all of our donors — this would not have been possible without you.
Fuel for Future Pastors
We also had the privilege of contributing $2,500 toward gas for students at the Baptist Seminary in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), a practical gift that keeps these young leaders moving forward in their calling.
A Cooler Lighthouse Center
Toward the end of April and into early May, we were able to raise funds for a new ceiling at The Lighthouse Center in the Philippines, helping keep the inside cool for the women and children who gather there. Praise God for every generous supporter who made that possible.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for this community. Your prayers, your giving, and your encouragement carry us further than you know. Stay connected with us on Facebook for the latest photos and updates, and as always, thank you for walking with us.
